Cognitive-Academic Evaluations and Consultations
Psychologists at Lansdowne consult with students, parents and teachers to provide learning support to maximize students' academic achievement. Psychological services are provided to students from pre-school to post-secondary levels, and include the following:
Psycho-educational Evaluation
to assess students' cognitive and academic strengths and needs, learning styles, and reading/writing and competencies. Evaluations will help to clarify, but are not limited to, concerns about attention difficulties, impulsivity, phonological and reading difficulties, numeracy and problem-solving difficulties, as well as behavioural and social-emotional challenges.
Consultations with parents and/or schools
to facilitate collaboration, and to mobilize the requisite support to enable students to achieve their full potential.
Consultation with students and/or their parents
to strengthen communication and support at home.
Follow-up consultations
to monitor students' progress.
